Clothing: |
Light, loose cotton
clothing is best. Nylon should be avoided. Sweaters
are needed during the cool season evenings or if
visiting mountainous areas or national parks.
Jackets and ties are required in a few restaurants
and nightclubs. Neat clothes are required for
entering temples or palaces. Shorts, singlet,
spaghetti straps and open backed sandals are not
acceptable. |

Visas:
Most Citizens of 56 different nationalities, including
most of the large western countries, may enter Thailand
without a visa for a period of 30 days without charge.
This visa may be extended in Thailand for a period of
one week at a cost of 500 baht at the discretion of the
immigration officer. It’s also possible to leave the
country and re-enter with a 30-day free visa for an
unlimited number of trips.
