You cannot watch a Gladiatorial contest today but you can marvel at the magnificence of the most ancient sight of Rome. Amazingly it was inaugurated in AD 80, interestingly it could hold 50,000 -80,000 spectators. It’s good to visit anytime of the year. Also the crowd is huge but you could beat the line if you pre book your tickets. You can linger for a good 90 minutes to See the place where the animals were caged and get good views from the top. Not just see but listen closely to the walls, hear the history.

2: Pantheon
Again an old building that never gets old to visit. Guess its age. It’s 2000 year old impressive structure. Anyone will stumble upon seeing the architecture and engineering of the imposing dome. The facts about the Pantheon are displayed and the first of the facts that you should be knowing is that it was originally a temple and now perdures to be a church. It’s a quick to see place while you grab a bite and pass by again when it’s lit up in the night.

3. Roman Forum
A guided walking tour is strongly recommended to visit this vast attraction as we don’t want you to eavesdrop on the cool facts the other guides disclose. There are no ‘Do not touch’ signs here, so put on your shoes, take time and explore the ruins, touch and feel the Roman remains.

4. Trevi Fountain
A magical and mythical fountain which you would have noted in many Hollywood movies including the most recent one “When in Rome’. It fables a tradition of tossing a coin into the water and a make a wish to come true. It is said that an average of 3000 Euros are thrown in everyday. The sight is more glorious when lit up in the evening.

5. Piazza Navona
There is nothing more fantastic than admiring the fountains after sunrise with gelato in your hands. This pleasant square is full of street artists, hawkers, tourists, restaurants, bars and cafes. Admire the architecture as well inside the Piazza.

6. Spanish Steps
Probably the beautiful steps you would climb on to observe scenic skyline of Rome and the fountain at the base.

7.Vatican City
You will fall head over heals for the Vatican. The Vatican museums, The Sistine Chapel and St.Peter’s Basilica are the main places of interest. If you are there on a Sunday there will be the Pope too giving his speech.
