Overview

The itinerary includes a flight to Bagdogra Airport, a transfer to Phuentsholing, and overnight stay at a hotel. The next day, you will visit Thimphu, where you will visit various attractions such as Gedu Town, the National Memorial Chord, and the Folk Heritage Museum. You will also visit the TashichoeDzong, the Folk Heritage Museum, and the Institute for Zorig Chusum. The journey continues to Sangaygang View Point, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Thimphu valley. The journey continues to DochuLa, a mountain pass that offers a stunning view of the Eastern Himalayan mountain ranges. You can also enjoy river rafting. After breakfast, you will drive back to Paro, where you will spend the night at a hotel. The next day, you will visit the National Museum of Bhutan, Paro Airport View, Rinpung Dzong, Paro Market, and Paro Market. You will return to Phuentsholing, where you will check-in and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

DAY 01: CHENNAI – BAGDOGRA (FLIGHT) - Phuentsholing (154 KMS / 4 HRS)

Reach Bagdogra Airport by plane. Your driver will pick you up from the parking lot and take you to Phuentsholing. We will have a free evening. Spend the night in Phuentsholing.

DAY 02: Phuentsholing - Thimphu Transfer (163 KMS / 4.5 HRS) + Local Sightseeing

Go to the hotel and have breakfast. Following that, you'll be sent to Thimphu. Register at the lodging. Visit the locations listed below later. Visit Gedu Town the route and take in a few roadside waterfalls. The National Memorial Chord: The National Memorial Chorten is devoted to world peace and was built in honour of the third Druk Gyalpo (Head of Kingdom) of Bhutan. You can also stroll from Clock Tower Square to the main city to shop. Mixing with locals is a great opportunity that it offers. Staying overnight at a Thimphu hotel.

DAY 03: Thimphu - Local Sightseeing

You will be taken to the following locations after breakfast. The Royal Textile Academy & Museum, Handicrafts Market, Kuensel Phodrang-Buddha Point, and Simply Bhutan - A Living Museum.Visit the TashichoeDzong (outside view) (Fortress of Glorious Religion) later in the evening. The Folk Heritage Museum, Takin Reserve & Mini Zoo, and Painting School are also known as the Institute for Zorig Chusum. Here, students can learn traditional drawing, painting, and carving techniques as well as hone their craft-making abilities. Afterwards, travel to the 2685-meter-high Sangaygang View Point to get a panoramic view of the entire Thimphu valley. While there, stroll among the hundreds of vibrant prayer flags that adorn the hillside overlooking the valley. Go back to the hotel afterwards. Spend the night in a Thimphu hotel.

DAY 04: Thimphu - Punakha valley transfer via Dochula

Visit DochuLa, a mountain pass that leads deeper into the Punakha Valley, when travelling. It provides a breathtaking panoramic 360-degree view of the Eastern Himalayan mountain ranges. With snow-capped mountains creating a spectacular backdrop to the serenity of the 108 chortens adorning the mountain pass, the scene is particularly picturesque on clear winter days. Later, visit the locations listed below. Dzong of Punakha and Suspension Bridge River rafting is an optional activity that may be done for an approximate cost of INR 8,000 to 10,000 per boat (one boat can accommodate 8 passengers). Register at the hotel. Take a day off and relax. Spend the night in a Punakha hotel.

DAY 05: Visit Chimi Lhakhang + Punakha to Paro Valley Transfer (126KMS/ 3.5 HRS)

Check out of the accommodation and head to Chimi Lhakhang after breakfast. After that, take a drive back to Paro and retrace your route through Paro Town and up the striking Wang Chhu and Paro Chhu river valleys to reach the north end of the valley. After settling into the hotel later in the day, you will have a free day. Spend the night at the Paro hotel.

DAY 06: Paro Local Sightseeing + Paro to Phuentsholing Transfer (143 KMS / 4.5 HRS)

Hotel breakfast. Subsequently, depart from the hotel and head to the National Museum of Bhutan, Paro Airport View. Originally constructed as a watchtower, Ta Dzong is now home to the National Museum. After that, follow the road to Rinpung Dzong, also known as the "fortress of the heap of jewels," which has an interesting and lengthy history. An Visit Paro Market afterwards to purchase mementos. You can pay for your own photo session near the Paro riverbank wearing traditional Bhutanese clothing. On your return, stop via Tachog Lhakhang. Proceed to Phuentsholing afterwards. Hotel check-in, then spend the remainder of the day at leisure. Spend the night in a Phuentsholing hotel.

DAY 07: Phuentsholing to Bagdogra Airport Drop (154 KMS / 4.5 HRS)

Phuentsholing:  The National Memorial Chorten - Built-in the memory of the third Druk Gyalpo (Head of Kingdom) of Bhutan, the National Memorial Chorten is devoted to World Peace.

Thimphu: Simply Bhutan - A Living Museum , Kuensel Phodrang-Buddha Point , Royal Textile Academy & Museum , Handicrafts Market. Tashichoe Dzong (outer view) (Fortress of Glorious Religion). Folk Heritage Museum , Takin Reserve & Mini Zoo , Painting School - It is also known as Institute for Zorig Chusum where students are taught courses like traditional drawing, painting, carving and to develop skills in  arts and crafts. Sangaygang view point (2685 meters) to have a view of the whole Thimphu valley and walk through hundreds of colourful prayer flags that dot the hill overlooking the valley.

DochuLa:  A mountain pass leading further into the Punakha Valley. It offers a stunning 360 degree panoramic view of Eastern Himalayan mountain ranges. The view is especially scenic on clear, winter days with snow capped mountains forming a majestic backdrop to the tranquility of the 108 chortens gracing the mountain pass. Punakha Dzong, Suspension Bridge. 

Paro: Wang Chhu and ParoChhu river valleys, Paro Airport View, National Museum of Bhutan. Ta Dzong, originally built as Watchtower, which now houses the National Museum. RinpungDzong, meaning (“fortress of the heap of jewels”), which has a long and fascinating history. Paro Market. Photo session with the Bhutanese traditional attire.
