Trip in a Nutshell
Cappadocia: Gerome open-air museum, Avanos, Rose Valley, old Christian village of Cavusin, Kaymakli Underground, Ortahisar Natural Rock Castle.
Istanbul: Hippodrome, Blue Mosque, St.Sophia, Topkapi Palace and Grand Bazar.
Arrive in Istanbul and connect to your flight to Cappadocia. After an hour’s flight, you will arrive and will be met and transferred to the hotel. Enjoy time to settle in and have the rest of the day at leisure.
Tour the Gerome Valley, and then visit the Gerome open-air museum, a splendid UNESCO Heritage Site, is a cluster of monastic Byzantine artistry with its rock-cut churches, chapels and monasteries. Continue to Avanos, a famous pottery and handicraft centre. Overnight in Cappadocia.
Today, go hiking through the Rose Valley visiting the churches. Continue to the old Christian village of Cavusin. Afterwards, explore the Kaymakli Underground city. Your last stop for the day will be Ortahisar Natural Rock Castle. Overnight in Cappadocia.
Fly to Istanbul and have the remaining day at leisure.
See the fabled sights of Istanbul - Hippodrome, Blue Mosque, St.Sophia, Topkapi Palace and Grand Bazar. Overnight in Istanbul.
Embark on a relaxing Bosphorus cruise that lasts for 90 minutes and enjoys idyllic views of Leander's Tower, two suspension bridges, Rumeli Hisarı Fortress and beautiful mansions. Later visit Dolmabahce Palace.
On your final day here, privately transfer to the airport to depart.
